Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures is a standard for identifying, defining, and cataloging publicly disclosed cybersecurity vulnerabilities.

For example a widely used Log4j vulnerability is known under CVE-2021-44228.

iSAQB

The iSAQB is the International Software Architecture Qualification Board and was founded in 2001. The goal is to increase the knowledge and skill of software architects and developers, who want to become architects or build better software.

EC-Council

The EC-Council is the International Council of E-Commerce Consultants and was founded 2001. The council is a member based organisation and tries to provide resources and knowledge in the information security field. They offer many certifications and trainings.

Certifications

CPSA-F

The Certified Professional for Software Architecture - Foundation Level is a certification from the iSAQB. Participants of the CPSA-F showed a basic understanding of clean architecture and structured software. This certification does not need a recertification.

CEH

The Certified Ethical Hacker is the ethical hacker certification of the EC-Council. Participants of the CEH showed knowledge of the different phases of an attack like reconnaissance, gaining access or hiding traces, so they can perform simulated attacks on own systems. This certification needs a regular reassessment.

CCSE

The Certified Cloud Security Engineer is the cloud certification of the EC-Council and focuses on implementing secure cloud infrastructures and testing applications and infrastructure in the cloud. This certification needs a regular reassessment.

CASE (Java)

The Certified Application Security Engineer (Java) is an application security certification of the EC-Council for developers. Participants showed knowledge in planning, building, testing and deploying secure applications in the Java programming language. This certification needs a regular reassessment.
